ClearZone® snow melting systems are proven systems that are commonly used heat driveways, as well as commercial snow melting applications, including heated runaway truck ramps, loading docks, bridges and overpasses, large parking areas, and commercial walks and entry ways. The ClearZone system is reliable, fully automated, operates silently and cleanly, and is easy to customize. Another attractive feature of electric radiant heated driveways is that they are maintenance free.

How the System Operates

ClearZone snow melting systems utilize three principle components: the heating element (heat cable), the activation device (snow sensor), and contactor panel or controller. The heat cable is embedded in the driveway and a snow sensor (typically an aerial-mount sensor) is installed near the roofline of the home. The snow sensor is wired to the contactor panel so that the system is activated when needed.

Heated driveway systems typically utilize the aerial-mounted snow sensor switch, but in-pavement snow sensors can also be used, depending on the customer's preference and needs. The rugged high-tech activation devices detect precipitation and temperature. When precipitation is present and the temperature is below the adjustable set point (usually set at 39°F), the sensor automatically signals the snow melting system contactor panel and power is then sent to the ClearZone heat cable. The driveway surface then begins to warm as the first snowflakes fall. In addition to the adjustable temperature trigger point, the aerial-mount sensor is smart system compatible, has an adjustable delay off cycle, and features upgradeable remote activation.

Radiant Heat System Design and Services

One of the most significant advantages of working with Warmzone is that customers receive unparalleled design and installation support services. Knowing that proper installation of a radiant heating system is essential to its success, Warmzone has a dedicated department of professional radiant heat system designers and technical support experts. The design professionals carefully evaluate your radiant heating solution from top to bottom and then create a detailed layout of the system that will most efficiently and affordably accomplish your snow melting needs while respecting your budget. The AutoCAD will include all the proper layout and materials, proper load calculations, breaker sizes, number of breakers, and system performance expectations. You'll have all the details of your system in hand prior to any heat cable being installed. This can save you time and money in the long run.

Free Installation Training

Perhaps the most valuable service — and most appreciated by contractors / installers - is that of Warmzone's free installation training. Prior to performing the installation, installers can receive free installation training. The courses take less than an hour, and you'll work directly with an installation expert who will walk you through the process. The courses are available online (via video conference) and in person at Warmzone's headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Take advantage of this valuable service by calling 801.948.7545 and signing up at a time that's convenient for you.

In addition to the free training and professional system layout services, Warmzone also includes live technical support for installers. If you have any questions during the installation, Warmzone radiant heat experts are available to assist you. We know how important it is to get the job done right, so we'll be there for you during the installation process.

Interior Radiant Heat Applications

Heated floor installation

In addition to heating driveways, sidewalks and roofs, Warmzone also offers a wide range of radiant floor heating solutions. Visit us online to learn about the many floor heating options that are available to you. The systems can be used to heat virtually any floor surface, including tile, laminate, marble, vinyl, and even carpet.

Radiant floor heating systems are becoming more and more popular as homeowners discover the luxurious comfort and energy efficiency. Each room is controlled by its own thermostat, so you can heat only the specific areas in your home that you need. No heat is wasted through leaky vents, and because no hot air is being blown through those vents, radiant heat systems help to eliminate dust and allergens from being blown throughout the house. Radiant heat systems operate silently and cleanly, and are maintenance free. The advanced thermostats can also be programmed so you can have the system warm the floors at the times that suit your schedule. Heat your floors for when you get up in the morning and then have the system turn off as you head to work. Then have the system warm your home just before you return home for the evening. In addition to its efficiency, radiant heat also provides a luxurious warmth that you must experience to truly appreciate.
